Unclassifieds - Ruis Starfall

Ral Partha was originally owned by FASA, the corporation that put out Earthdawn, so when one needed a Windling miniature (Windlings being 18" tall people with wings) one actually had a prayer of getting one. Alas, those days are gone, so the Reaper fairies (25 mm tall, same scale as everyone else) are the best we can do - we have minis that look like Windlings, they're just not to scale with all the other minis on the board.

Ruis Starfall is a black windling with a red-comet tattoo around her left eye (a relatively recent development); she has black hair and silver wings. When a friend painted one of the Ral Partha minis to represent her, he lamented that doing details on her was nigh impossible because she was all black. That's why she has silver wings on her original mini.

When I painted up the second Reaper fairy (the first being painted to be El'Kiera Quicksilver, I discovered what he'd been talking about, but since this mini was on a 25 mm scale, I actually was able to do some detailing on her, and make her wings more interesting.
