This is the first mini I ever painted. Leanne and Mark were painting lead in thier living room while I visited, and I had planned to read, but decided it looked like fun, so Leanne let me pick through her unpainted lead and offered to teach me.

This figure suffers from the standard chainmail bikini problem many female fighters get, so I painted a skintight shirt on under her chainmail. (That stuff CHAFES something fierce.) I learned about ink washes on her chainmail, and dry brushing on her hair, and about why it's bad to let the paint get too thick on her cheek - the mole wasn't quite intentional.

This is the fig that gets grabbed most often when we have a random "need a stand-in for a female character." I'm still quite proud of it, even though it's a bit banged up now.
